Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment or in-store pickup.
- Customer Service: Assist walk-in customers by providing product information, answering inquiries, and helping them order the products they need.
- Retail-Style Service: Handle customer transactions, process payments, and provide an overall positive experience for customers visiting the branch.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory counts, assist with cycle counts, and ensure stock levels are properly recorded in the warehouse management system.
- Receiving and Stocking: Receive incoming shipments, verify product quantities, and stock shelves or designated warehouse areas efficiently.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the products carried to better serve customers and ensure order accuracy.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and customer interactions as required.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and customer service area.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, operating procedures, and company guidelines to ensure a safe working and customer service environment.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Work closely with other departments as needed to meet branch objectives, including assisting with deliveries or additional warehouse duties.
Required Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or customer service role is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) regularly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management, order processing, and customer transactions.
- Willingness to learn product details and assist with various warehouse operations.
Formal Education, Qualifications Or Training
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Forklift Certification or willingness to obtain
Pay
Hourly: $18.00 - $33.00. While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
