Warehouse Clerk

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.
• Receive and assist drivers in unloading incoming freight items and packages.
• Verify shipments are received and in good condition.
• Inform the appropriate departments of a freight delivery for coordination with Logistics.
• Maintain and perform basic repairs to warehouse equipment and report any problems to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Deliver UPS, USPS, FedEx, Amazon, DHL and other shipping vendors to appropriate departments and obtain proof of delivery.
• Coordinate boxes and skids received for temporary or permanent storage in the warehouse and on the dock.
• Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing mail and delivery to the Emmitsburg USPS.
• Assist with sorting, package preparation, entering items in the tracking system, and dispensing packages and mail to students.
• Prepare outgoing UPS (and other shipping vendors) shipments by packing items and preparing outgoing labels.
• Maintain basic warehouse items used by Campus Environment and the rest of the campus.

Requirements

• Ability to use a computer (Windows).
• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math skills.
• Must be able to lift 65 pounds.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Warehouse or shipping experience.

Vehicle Usage

• Valid driver’s license.
• Use of University vehicle (van or car) to make all deliveries.
• Ensure vehicle is fueled, snow removed, and functioning properly.
• Report any vehicle issues to supervisors.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack.

Pay

Minimum Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
