Warehouse Clerk

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.
• Stocking and Deliveries
• Receives and assists drivers in unloading incoming freight items and packages.
• Verifies shipment are received and in good condition.
• Inform the appropriate departments of a freight delivery for coordination with Logistics for delivery.
• Maintain and perform basic repairs to warehouse equipment and report any problems to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Delivery UPS, USPS, FedEx, Amazon, DHL and other shipping vendors to appropriate departments and obtain proof of delivery.
• Cook up the boxes and skids received for temporary or permanent storage in the warehouse and on the dock.
• Aid with the processing of incoming and outgoing mail and delivery to the Emmitsburg USPS.
• Aid with the sorting, package preparation, entering in the tracking system and dispensing packages and mail to students.
• Prepare outgoing UPS (and other shipping vendors) for shipment via packing items and preparing outgoing labels.
• Maintain some of the basic warehouse items used by Campus Environment and the rest of the campus.

Job Requirements

• Education, Experience and Skills:
• Ability to use computer (Windows).
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills.
• Must be able to lift 65 pounds.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Warehouse or shipping experience.
• Vehicle Usage
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Usage of University vehicle to make all deliveries (van or car).
• Ensure vehicle is fueled, snow removed and is functioning properly.
• Report any vehicle issues to supervisors.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack.

Pay and Benefits

• Minimum Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
