About the Role
This position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Responsibilities
- Assists with unloading delivery trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders
- Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed, and/or shipped
- Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code
- Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocates orders to a holding area or shipping department
- Opens bales, crates, and other containers
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Assists in counting of physical inventory
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse setting and regularly utilizes workplace technology, including computers, smartphones, and collaboration tools.
Physical Demands
- Regularly engages in verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients
- Consistent use of computers and standard office technology such as keyboards, printers, and multifunction devices
- Transports equipment boxes weighing up to 50 pounds within the building and to other offsite locations as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in warehouse, shipping, or receiving
- Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to operate a forklift truck
