About the role
The warehouse clerk position is responsible for various tasks including transferring inventory, assisting customers, processing bills of lading, and maintaining quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Receive and transfer inventory, allocate finished goods, and process purchase orders in SAP system.
- Log receipts into product reports, verify data, and enter information into the computer system.
- Prepare and process bills of lading for customer shipments, ensuring product availability and investigating inventory errors.
- Assist customers at the will-call window by handling product and package deliveries, notifying recipients, and directing drivers.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, PPE, SOP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations, and maintain the integrity of the food safety and quality system.
- Evaluate hazards, verify measures, and take actions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work safely, report hazards, and perform tasks requiring physical exertion such as standing, lifting, and moving packages.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or obtain within 90 days.

- Ability to read, interpret documents, and perform mathematical calculations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team mentality.
Skills
- Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Applying common sense to follow instructions and solve problems.
