About the role
Join the Staples World Class Supply Chain Team in a climate-controlled warehouse. Associates can earn additional compensation by meeting productivity thresholds. You may work in any of the following areas:
- Warehouse Bulk / Material Handling Equipment Operator: Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick and move product up to 100 lbs while adhering to safety procedures. Some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Warehouse Porter: Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance inside and outside the facility. Operate material handling equipment as needed; some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Warehouse Replenishment: Operate material handling equipment to pick and move product up to 100 lbs; some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Warehouse Receiving / Putaway / Returns: Confirm product accuracy, address discrepancies and damages, unload trucks manually, and palletize products. Operate material handling equipment; some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Warehouse Returns: Move product with material handling equipment, match item quantities and descriptions to packing slips, check in returned product, and tag it appropriately. Some tasks will be performed without equipment.
- Shipping: Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets. Manually load trucks, lift and carry product in a fast-paced environment, and stack empty pallets while maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
You may be moved into any of the above roles or SC1 roles as needed. Safety is the utmost priority; you will be expected to ensure safe work practices and embrace the safety culture.
Responsibilities

- Work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
Requirements
- Minimum three months of related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
- Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible by law.
- Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
- If hired as a full-time associate, ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift as required.
- Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70–100 pounds by hand.
- Must wear safety composite shoes.
- Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or cherry pickers.
Pay
Competitive pay rate of $22.75/hour (includes $1.00/hour shift differential).
