Description

The position involves cooperative teamwork with a team to efficiently create customer orders. Safety is a primary concern, requiring adherence to a clean and safe warehouse environment and following safety procedures while using powered industrial equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Read orders to ascertain catalog numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise.
• Pick of product will consist of beer, wine, spirits, or kegs.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Pick and count stock items and record data by voice command on a headset/cell phone.
• Operate and inspect powered industrial equipment in the warehouse.
• Pick orders from full pallets to case picking.
• Consistently meet minimum required production, accuracy or quality standards for the work performed.
• Pick product from the proper shelving units and place on a pallet so the pallet is stable.
• Wrap pallets securely with shrink wrap to avoid shifting loads while on the truck and during the delivery process.
• Stack loads properly on a pallet as to ensure the pallet is stable.
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency (i.e., order picking) effectively with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.
• Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• May have to lift to 50 pounds.
