Warehouse/Backup Driver

About the Role

Bay Building Supplies Inc. in Waukesha is actively looking for a Warehouse Associate/Backup CDL Driver. This role involves both warehouse duties and the delivery of insulation products to scheduled job sites in a timely manner. Customer service is essential when delivering materials to job sites and customer offices. The position requires safe driving within DOT guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Driving to deliver material and loading/unloading within a pre-determined schedule.
• Staging product onto the truck for delivery.
• Maintaining the truck and performing daily pre & post-trip inspections.
• Reporting mechanical or maintenance issues to the Warehouse Manager.
• Processing paperwork, including tickets, bills of lading, customer signed receipts, and COD handling when specified.
• Communicating customer service issues addressed at the job site to the Warehouse Manager.
• Working in warehouse positions as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of verifiable experience driving a straight truck within the last five years.
• Valid driver’s license maintained at all times in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• Ability to pass a Driver Background Check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
• Forklift experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
