Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair warehouse automation systems, including conveyor systems, AS/RS, AGVs, and other electrical and control systems.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance work orders as assigned.
- Conduct root cause and failure analysis on major equipment downtime events, collaborating with site engineering and management to implement corrective actions.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to organize the department and communicate effectively with plant and corporate management.
- Maintain and ensure spare parts inventories and/or consignment inventories are up-to-date according to procedures.
- Participate actively in safety and Lean programs, supporting the Ryder culture.
- Ensure a clean and organized maintenance area, making the facility ready for tours.
- Contribute to the continual development and improvement of maintenance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures for the facility.
Requirements
- Vocational or technical certification in related field or 5 years of relevant experience (in lieu of certification).
- 5 years or more experience with maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance on warehouse automation equipment.
- 2 years or more experience with connecting to programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- 5 years or more experience performing maintenance on high voltage (480v) equipment and AC/DC motors or components.
- 2 years or more experience using automation warehouse execution systems (WES) to ensure proper communication and messaging between WES and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Two (2) years or more experience using machine level HMI screens or machine level control systems to diagnose machine faults and validate inputs and outputs from the field back to the PLCs.
- Knowledge of 480 volts and pneumatic equipment.
- Working knowledge of computer-based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems.
- Demonstrated independent problem-solving capability.
- Expertise in PLC and HMI programming software, such as Allen Bradley, Ignition, and Wonderware.
- Understanding of 24VDC control systems, photoelectric & proximity sensors.
- Experience with programming/troubleshooting servo and stepper motors and related software.
- Experience with programming/troubleshooting bar code scanners and other vision systems, specifically Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc.
- Warehouse maintenance safety procedures, including but not limited to: lock out/tag out, fall restraint, and forklift/MHE operational safety.
- Knowledge of operating MHE, including by not limited to: forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, etc.
- Ability to work independently in a safe manner, including working at heights.

Pay
- Hourly Pay: $30.00 per hour
- Overtime Pay: $45.00 per hour
Schedule
- First Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
