Warehouse Automation Technician
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience troubleshooting automated equipment and industrial systems. You’ll enjoy solving problems, working with mechanical and electrical systems, and keeping a busy facility running safely and efficiently. Automation experience is key, along with expertise in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and material handling systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated equipment and industrial machinery
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain and repair ammonia, Freon, and/or CO₂ refrigeration systems
- Maintain building infrastructure and facility equipment
- Perform maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment
- Diagnose electrical and electronic components, motors, wiring, and controls
- Complete work orders and document all maintenance activities in the CMMS
- Perform inspections and communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to leadership
- Use motorized lifts and other equipment to safely access and maintain equipment
- Support contractors working on or near refrigeration systems as needed
- Follow all company, regulatory, and safety requirements
Requirements
- 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience with industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, processing, or material handling equipment, or a combination of experience and trade school
- Automation experience strongly preferred, including at least 2 years of experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in an automated environment
- Basic electrical instrumentation experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical and electrical problems
- Basic ability to read P&IDs may be required at some locations
- Comfortable using computers, including Word and Excel
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working at heights and using lifts where required
- Able to work in temperatures ranging from -20°F to 100°F while wearing required PPE
- Able to lift at least 40 lbs
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends when needed
- Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels

Pay
$24.71 - $41.68 per hour
