Warehouse

About the role

To work as part of a team in order to ensure that all Health, Safety, Chemical, Environmental, Operational and Customer service targets are met. The warehouse position is responsible for working Monday through Friday eight-hour shifts per assigned schedule and as needed for scheduled overtime.

Responsibilities

• Load and off-load raw material and finished product into tank trucks, rail cars, and trailers.
• Identify products and understand the warehouse system for placement and order staging using a forklift.
• Complete paperwork accurately and use computer systems as required.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as needs arise.

EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety)

• Carry out duties to comply with all safety SOPs and EHS procedures for the site.
• Understand the basis of safety for processes operated.
• Understand process alarm and safety interlock systems.
• Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and correct manner.
• Handle materials correctly as specified in MSDS and wear the correct PPE specified by the PPE matrix.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the work area.
• Report incidents and unsatisfactory work practices/conditions via the near miss or event reporting system.
• Complete relevant area audits and checklists in accordance with the specified schedule.

Quality

• Achieve quality targets.
• Understand ISO 9000 and QAS process standards.
• Ensure finished goods are of the highest quality.
• Understand factors affecting product quality and adjust conditions within specified guidelines to achieve product quality specification.
• Complete documentation and records to quality standards.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement.

Operational Performance

• Operate processes in full accordance with SOPs.
• Operate processes to ensure adherence to plan/schedule.
• Understand the basic operation and expected performance of equipment used, carry out fit-for-purpose checks, and ensure good maintenance standards.
• Accurately record all processing records and stock movements, and monitor existing paperwork for errors or discrepancies.
• Be flexible and willing to carry out a number of different tasks across the site.
• Readily undertake training and be willing to train others.
• Report any irregularities with stock levels.
• Complete and conduct in-process analysis.

Customer Care

• Understand internal and external customer requirements and endeavor to meet their needs.
• Ensure all raw materials and finished products meet customer specifications.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work 8-hour shifts as scheduled and cover evening hours and weekends as assigned.
• Must be willing to accept short notice for overtime.
• Must be prepared to work flexible hours to cover weekends and absences.
• Must meet physical requirements and be able to carry out manual work, including lifting of 25kg.
