Essential Functions

  • Unload trucks using a scanner or pick list generated by Supervisor/Manager
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to complete job
  • Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with department leader to rectify damages and shortages - specifically relating to glass
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department leader
  • Responsible for keeping production lines stocked with glass according to schedule
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving items over 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work/day are determined by production schedules and your reporting manager.

Travel Requirements

None Required.

Education And Experience

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of factory-related experience in shipping
  • Licensed forklift truck operator
  • Manufacturing/industry experience
  • Glass warehouse experience

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Preferred high school education or equivalent

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No security clearance required.
