About the role

Asia International, Inc. is a premier protein distributor based in San Francisco and Orange County. We are family owned and work closely with vendors, customers, and our internal team to provide the highest quality meat and trusted customer service. This position is located at our Long Beach, CA warehouse.

Pay

$20.00 – $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and recording amounts of items received or distributed
• Prepare parcels for mailing
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Complete reports by entering required information
• Operate company power equipment and trucks in accordance with company policy and procedures
• Physically unload and load delivery trucks
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent customer service skills
• Flexible work availability preferred
• Ability to work safely and quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Neat and professional appearance

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing
• Able to work at cold temperatures in a refrigerated environment
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds
• Frequent maneuvering of 2-handed lifting, pushing, and handling
• Sustained squatting, kneeling, stooping, and bending
