Warehouse Associate - Wire Room

Shepherd Electric Supply · Richmond, VA · 3 wk ago
Management$20–$25/hrFull-time

Since 1892, Shepherd Electric Supply has been the first call for complex, time‑critical electrical challenges. We move materials accurately and on time so contractors stay on schedule, projects stay on track, and customers never wonder if we’ll come through. Our success comes from people who take pride in doing things the right way — safely, accurately, and with care for teammates and customers alike.

About the role

The Wire Room is where product integrity begins. When wire and cable orders are cut accurately, pulled cleanly, and packed right the first time, contractors get exactly what they need — no delays, no rework, no errors in the field. This role sits at a critical point in the fulfillment chain, directly affecting whether customers can trust us on their next call.

We keep our promises by ensuring cuts are right the first time, orders leave the station complete and accurate, and any issues are caught before shipping. We stay hungry by questioning processes, noticing opportunities for faster, safer, or more accurate work, and bringing ideas forward. We grow together by communicating early when issues arise, supporting cross‑training, and stepping in during volume spikes. We own our station, our accuracy, and our safety, with no excuses or shortcuts. We go above & beyond by seeing the full picture of the contractor on‑site and taking pride in doing it right, even when no one is watching.
