About the Role
The Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver I is responsible for efficiently and accurately filling customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. This role also includes operating a delivery vehicle for up to 50% of the time to deliver products to customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and suppliers (No CDL required).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and Environmental Health and Safety Rules.
- Receive material from vendors, customers, or other warehouses and verify quantity and description.
- Stock incoming orders on shelves in an orderly manner and report freight damage claims.
- Prepare branch orders from the warehouse ensuring correct number and type of product.
- Process paperwork regarding shipments, including verifying merchandise, applying postage, and following customer shipping instructions.
- Operate machinery including forklift, reach truck, and wire cutting machine.
- Load common carrier and company vehicles.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
- Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Operate delivery vehicles to make deliveries to customers, company locations, and suppliers.
- Inspect company vehicle for defects and complete daily inspection reports.
- Maintain company vehicle cleanliness, service, and maintenance.
- Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
- Load or unload vehicle ensuring all material is correct and free of damage.
- Complete all appropriate documentation at the time of delivery, including signed delivery receipts.
- Pick up material returns from customers, inspect condition, and verify quantities.
- Pick up material from company suppliers.
- Participate in training and mentorship of entry-level Truck Drivers.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including counter sales and customer support.
Requirements
- No experience required; prior warehouse experience a plus.
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
- Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 30 days of hire.
- No suspended driver's license for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years.
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.

- Ability to work overtime as needed.

Pay
For the state of Nevada only, the pay is $15.00 to $19.61 per hour, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
