Warehouse Associate/Truck Driver

About the role

Rexel USA is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Driver to join the Gexpro team in Augusta, GA. The role combines warehouse operations with driving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe work environment
• Follow SOPs, environmental health and safety rules, and address safety concerns immediately
• Receive and verify material quantities and descriptions upon arrival
• Stock incoming orders and prepare branch orders
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, wire cutting machines, and company vehicles
• Inspect and maintain equipment; complete daily inspection reports
• Operate delivery vehicles to make deliveries
• Inspect company vehicles for defects; sign delivery receipts and packing lists
• Handle material returns and ensure they are free of damage
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• No experience required, prior warehouse experience a plus
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
• Valid driver's license, at least 21 years old
• Pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record
• Verification of non-expired medical certificate within 30 days of hire
• No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws

• Handling loads up to 26,000 GVW
• Physical demands: sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, hear, use hands, lift up to 50 pounds, work in unpleasant environments, handle potentially dangerous equipment, travel to offsite locations
