Warehouse Associate / Shop Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• General warehouse operations.
• Receiving freight, operating a forklift, and stocking the warehouse.
• Performing all inventory counts and maintaining inventory stock levels.
• Checking in orders and stocking all inventory items.
• Maintaining adequate shipping supplies.
• Performing all shipping.
• Keeping shop organized and clean.
• Maintaining, cleaning, and organizing all shop tools.
• Checking specialty tools in and out.
• Maintaining extinguishers and system cylinders in various locations in shop.
• Recording and documenting all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations either electronically or manually.
• Maintaining a good positive relationship with the customer and passing on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns.
• Performing other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must be able to pass an MVR driving record.
• Any vocational training is strongly desired.
• Industry experience preferred, OR general warehouse experience.
• Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Requires the ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools, ladders, medium equipment and machinery.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes, equipment, parts, tools, equipment, cabling, and/or wiring.
• Frequent ladder climbing and checking, pulling wire, etc.
• Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and raising hands overhead.

Compensation And Benefits

• Compensation starts at $18-$20 per hour, DOE.
