Warehouse Associate - Part Time

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD) is a subsidiary of GSF, specializing in custom last-mile distribution for the food service industry. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD serves thousands of restaurants across the United States, delivering over 37,000 orders weekly from 25 distribution centers, averaging over 40 million miles driven annually. QCD also supports a national non-profit, the GSF Foundation.
Responsibilities
- In this part-time role, you will be a key player in the warehouse team, assisting with moving, managing, and delivering products efficiently and safely.
- You will work in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment, focusing on accuracy, teamwork, and safety.
- Your efforts will ensure the smooth flow of the supply chain, from receiving goods to shipping orders on time.
- All associates will:
- Safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required for forklift)
- Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy of orders and product quality
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards
- Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory
- Follow all QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols
- Selector (Picker) specific responsibilities include:
- Accurately pick, lift, and place products to build pallets per customer orders
- Operate forklifts/pallet jacks safely in high-traffic warehouse areas
- Visually inspect and verify all incoming/outgoing product
- Maintain safety, productivity, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Read labels, count product, and complete order paperwork
- Support the team with cleaning and additional duties as needed
Requirements
- Comfort working in varying temperatures including freezer and cooler environments
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred
- Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation
- Strong reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation
- Use a voice-directed picking system (Vo Collect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check

Pay
$21.42/hour, paid weekly on Fridays
Schedule & Setting
- Shifts: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 2 days a week until September 2026
- Part-time, on-site in a temperature-controlled warehouse (dry, cooler freezer: -5°F to 38°F)
- Primarily a 2-day work week, with potential for full-time transition
- Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods
