Warehouse Associate (Part-Time)

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), a subsidiary of GSF, is a custom last-mile distribution company specializing in tailored solutions for selected food service industry customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD services thousands of restaurants throughout the United States. With over 37,000 deliveries a week from 25 strategically located distribution centers, the QCD fleet averages more than 40 million miles driven per year. QCD associates also help run a national non-profit, the GSF Foundation.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be a key player in our warehouse team, helping to move, manage, and deliver products efficiently and safely.
• Whether you’re loading trailers, picking orders, or leading associates, you’ll work in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment, focused on accuracy, teamwork, and safety.
• Your efforts keep our supply chain flowing smoothly — from receiving goods, staging inventory, to shipping orders out on time.
• In this role, you’ll safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required for forklift).
• Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments and verify accuracy of orders and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards.
• Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory.
• Follow all QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols.
• Selector (Picker): Accurately pick, lift, and place products to build pallets per customer orders.
• Operate forklifts/pallet jacks safely in high-traffic warehouse areas.
• Visually inspect and verify all incoming/outgoing product.
• Maintain safety, productivity, and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Read labels, count product, and complete order paperwork.
• Support team with cleaning and additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Comfort working in varying temperatures including freezer and cooler environments.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred.
• Selector (Picker): Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation.
• Strong reading/math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation.
• Use a voice-directed picking system (VoCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders.

Schedule & Setting

• Sundays off.
• Part time, on-site in a temperature-controlled warehouse (dry, cooler freezer: -5 °F to 38 °F).
• Pay: $23.64.
• Primarily a 4-day work week, start time: 8am.
• Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods.
