Warehouse Associate - Pallet Sorter

Location: Opelousas, LA

About the role

Relogistics is part of the largest pallet management services company in North America! We provide end-to-end pallet solutions, from supply to retrieval, on-site services, reverse logistics, and packaging materials. The work environment involves extreme conditions such as elements, heat, cold, and air particulate. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including eye protection, ear protection (mandatory at several locations), and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

• Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights
• Load and unload materials from trailers by hand
• Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the distribution center
• Check loads to make sure they are secure
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Coordinate trailers moves within yard management system
• Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress
• Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regularly
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds

Requirements

• High school degree or GED required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Starting from USD $17.00 per hour

Schedule

• 4th Shift: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
• 4th Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
