Warehouse Associate - Pallet Sorter

Fort Pierce, FL 34947 – 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.

About the role

Hand sort pallets within a distribution facility while maintaining high levels of safety and cleanliness. This role is vital to our customer’s production and ideal for someone who thrives on consistent activity.

Responsibilities

• Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights.
• Load and unload materials from trailers by hand.
• Move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the distribution center.
• Check loads to ensure they are secure.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Coordinate trailer moves within the yard management system.
• Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress.
• Communicate regularly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions (elements, heat, cold, air particulate).
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (eye protection, ear protection at several locations, safety shoes).

Pay

$16.00/hour.
