Warehouse Associate - Pallet Sorter

About the role

As a Pallet Sorter, you’ll hand sort pallets within a distribution facility while maintaining high levels of safety and cleanliness. This role is vital to our customer’s production and ideal for someone who thrives in an active environment.

Responsibilities

• Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights
• Load and unload materials from trailers by hand
• Move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the distribution center
• Check loads to ensure they are secure
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Coordinate trailer moves within the yard management system
• Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress
• Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regularly

Requirements

• High school degree or GED
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Ability to work in extreme conditions (elements, heat, cold, air particulate)
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): eye protection, ear protection (mandatory at several locations), safety shoes
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds

Pay

USD $17.50 per hour

Schedule

4th Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
