Warehouse Associate - Pallet Sorter

About the role

As a Pallet Sorter, you’ll hand sort pallets within a distribution facility and ensure high levels of safety and cleanliness. This role is vital to the success of our customer’s production and is perfect for someone looking to maintain high levels of activity.

Responsibilities

• Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights
• Load and unload materials from trailers by hand
• Move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the distribution center
• Check loads to make sure they are secure
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Coordinate trailer moves within yard management system
• Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress
• Communicate directly with Shift Lead or On-Site Manager regularly

Requirements

• High school degree or GED required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Ability to work in extreme conditions (elements, heat, cold, and air particulate)
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)

Pay

USD $17.50 per hour (1st shift) / USD $17.75 per hour (2nd shift).

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday - Sunday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (days off discussed during interview)
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Sunday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM (days off discussed during interview)
