Warehouse Associate - Machine Operator - 1st Shift

About the role

Award-winning Allied Wire & Cable (AWC), a GCG Company, seeks a Warehouse Big Cuts Machine Operator to join our dynamic 1st shift team. In this role, you will operate spooling machines, manage inventory, and assist with general warehouse duties.

Responsibilities

• Daily set-up and operation of spooling machine, ensuring smooth machine operation
• Run test spools daily to ensure accurate footage counter calibration
• Operate hand-held scan gun to scan spools to appropriate locations
• Maintain inventory control and monitor tool kit for completeness
• Sweep floors, wipe scrap off machinery, throw trash away, clear scrap wire, etc.
• Assist with additional duties as needed

Requirements

• Warehouse or machine operating experience a plus
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Basic math and computer skills
• Willingness to learn
• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills. Must have a positive attitude and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
