Warehouse Associate IV
About the Role
The Warehouse Lead assists the Warehouse Manager in the daily coordination of warehouse activities and performs the responsibilities of the associate, including receiving and moving materials, picking and packaging orders for shipment, and pulling and delivering parts for production.
Responsibilities
- Delegates tasks, monitors activities, and acts as a liaison between laborers and the Manager, generating and completing daily work orders.
- Routinely backs up the Manager for order entry, inventory checks, and other administrative tasks.
- Ensures products are packaged and delivered at acceptable quality levels and lead times consistent with customer needs.
- Receives and moves material in the warehouse; unloads material from vendor trucks, moves to inventory location, and updates the system to reflect inventory levels.
- Processes pick orders from production requirements; locates material in the system, picks up and moves into inventory or new location, and updates the system to reflect material movement.
- Prepares material for shipment; pulls items from inventory, assembles shipments in boxes and pallets as per customer specification, and updates the system to reflect material shipment.
- Uses ERP system to perform queries and other transactions.
- Supplies and fills WIP bins and/or lanes if applicable.
- Trains new employees on standard operating procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Follows all safety procedures and policies.

- Demonstrated ability to transition between tasks within the work area to achieve on-time delivery goals and ensure accuracy.
- Develops leadership skills needed to delegate tasks and ensure good team communications.
- Ability to interpret standard operating procedures to ensure safe handling of material.
- Maintains inventory transfer accuracy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of prior experience in a shipping and receiving environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Experience utilizing an ERP system to perform queries and make transactions.
- Good attention to detail and transactional accuracy.
- Ability to use pallet jack, two-wheel dolly, and tow motor.
- Ability to organize and maintain work area to good housekeeping standards.
- Good problem-solving skills.

- Reliable with a positive attitude and flexible approach.
Work Environment
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and maneuvering up to 100 pounds.
- Frequent exposure to production noise and tow motor traffic.
- Work is performed in a highly demanding environment due to quantity and quality expectations.
- Periodic exposure to heat or cold due to seasonal changes.
