About the role

SemiTorr Group, Inc. is a leading sales and distribution company for gas and fluid handling systems and components supporting the High Purity, Sanitary, and Industrial markets. Our family of products includes process equipment, pumps, tubing, hoses, fittings, valves, filtration, and instrumentation. SemiTorr is a subsidiary of FloWorks USA LP, a privately held company located in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities in the Shipping/Receiving Dock, including unloading and loading semi-trucks, U.P.S., and FedEx trucks.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing products and goods.
  • Package and prepare LTL shipments and documentation.
  • Route material to either staging or shipping areas.
  • Perform valve automation and assembly tasks under direct supervision from the warehouse supervisor.
  • Operate a forklift (certification a plus).
  • Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and additional software to track and communicate internally, as well as with customers, carriers, and suppliers.
  • Maintain the condition of the work area (e.g., free of trash, product in correct location).
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to prioritize work.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of typical warehouse equipment, machines, and tools.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Material resource planning and/or production control experience with Systems Applications Processes (SAP).
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Continually required to sit, utilize hand and finger dexterity, talk, or hear.
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboard.
  • Occasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to lift, push, or carry items up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and loud noise (e.g., shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment).

Work Environment

This role operates in a warehouse environment. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required. Typically requires less than 10% travel.
