Responsibilities

• Support warehouse functions
• Receive and store incoming material
• Properly ship orders according to procedure
• Understand and maintain department housekeeping by individual observation and initiative
• Pack product according to guidelines for safe shipment
• Back-up delivery driver, as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 0-1 years warehouse shipping and/or receiving experience in an MRP environment
• Valid, clean driver's license
• Basic computer skills (email, Microsoft Office)
• Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to multitask and deal with problems involving different variables
• Strong attention to detail
• Previous experience driving a forklift is required

Understanding and experience with international shipping processes and rules is preferred.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Walking on a level surface throughout the day as well as some climbing stairs
• Periodic reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting to move materials
• Proper lifting techniques are required; may include lifting up to 50 lbs

The primary environment includes ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional conditions found in a light industrial environment. Weekend work will be required based on company demands.
