Warehouse Associate

About the role

This position is based in our Ashland, Virginia Distribution Center and is a full-time, weekend-shift Warehouse Associate role. The schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with the potential for overtime.

Compensation

The wage for this position is $16 per hour plus a $2 shift differential, totaling $18.00 per hour. Compensation is based on factors such as role requirements, skill set, years of experience, and other organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform assigned warehouse functions using established processes, procedures, and tools, meeting performance expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.
• Perform warehouse tasks including, but not limited to, loading, unloading, put-away, picking, packing, replenishing, and shipping.
• Comply with The Vitamin Shoppe's policies, guidelines, and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations and OSHA requirements in the storage, handling, and movement of product.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment through necessary housekeeping duties.
• Inform the Operations Manager or Lead of any problems and actively participate in process improvements.

Education/Certification Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience.

Skills and Abilities

• Able to operate handheld RF scanners or other devices associated with the Warehouse Management System.
• Able to meet safety, quality, productivity, and attendance requirements.
• Able to perform continuous lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Able to communicate in English.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Able and willing to work overtime when required.
