Warehouse Associate I (Freezer)

About the role

The Warehouse Associate I supervises inventory and stock in the freezer, works in a climate of 0° or lower to ensure product freshness, receives, stores, and distributes products internally to meet delivery schedules, and maintains high safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as a leader in managing the department’s requirements.
• Receive perishable goods and ensure they meet the company’s high standards for quality.
• Pick pick lists while in the freezer in preparation for shipping.
• Participate in the quality control process to ensure all packages are packed and checked for accuracy and quality.
• Pack and ship orders, ensuring timely shipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall functionality of the facility.
• Perform monthly cycle counts.
• Maintain proper inventory practices, including stock rotation to ensure inventory is wholesome and fresh.
• Drive forklift as needed to transport product within the facility.
• Take ownership of work and drive business results through continuous improvement practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of related experience in food production; seafood experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency for meeting critical, time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately handle protein or gourmet items in a timely fashion.
• Basic English speaking ability.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic tasks (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying).
• Willingness to work in a cold climate of 0º or lower.
