Warehouse Associate I

Responsibilities
- Loads, unloads, sorts, picks, stocks, stages, and transports materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
- Packages items for shipment or customer pickup using appropriate protective methods.
- Verifies product accuracy and condition before staging or shipping.
- Installs protective devices to prevent damage during transport.
- Operates forklifts or other material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Aids customers, installers, or subcontractors by fulfilling orders or locating materials.
- Drives company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials as needed.
Requirements
- Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction.
- Sets deviations from the norm with supervisor approval.
- Works under close supervision, exercising limited latitude and independent judgment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0-2 years of experience in a warehouse or related field.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and material handling procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Bilingual-Spanish is a plus.
