Warehouse Associate I
About the role
The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for efficiently picking, packing, and delivering supply orders, equipment, and materials in a timely and accurate manner, including operating non-articulated vehicles up to a 26-foot delivery van to ensure proper distribution to hospitals or end users. This role ensures the resolution of pick ticket errors, adheres to all established standards and procedures, and provides quality customer service while supporting organizational goals through active participation in performance improvement initiatives and fostering a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack supply orders with precision
- Resolve pick ticket errors
- Deliver equipment, packages, and materials using vehicles up to a 26-foot delivery van
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, including proper handling of sensitive or hazardous materials
- Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies
- Document inventory accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals
- Provide quality customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License required
- 2 years' experience as a storeroom clerk and/or receiving clerk preferred
- Good command of the English language
- Able to drive and operate non-articulated vehicles up to a 26 ft. delivery van with automatic or manual transmission and manual or powered materials management equipment
