About the role

Reporting to the Distribution Area Manager, the Warehouse Associate II is responsible for the incoming and outgoing of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations. This includes receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control, as well as performing manual and clerical duties using various systems/WMS. The role supports manufacturing workflow through planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks while maintaining compliance with local, country, and international guidelines. This position is part of the Packing Department in Romeoville, IL, and is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Verify items to ensure order accuracy.
  • Pack quality products according to standard work and compliance regulations, ensuring safe delivery to customers.
  • Pack hazardous and non-hazardous orders following pick ticket instructions.
  • Audit and inspect orders before staging and shipping, including checking for proper labeling and verifying document accuracy.
  • Escalate inventory inaccuracies to inventory control and investigate aged or missing orders.
  • Comply with company safety and housekeeping policies, including completing daily and weekly 5S tasks.
  • Participate in meetings, projects (planning and implementation), Kaizens, cross-training, and assist in training new employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ months of prior packing experience.
  • Must be in good standing (no final warnings).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English is required; bilingual language skills are a plus.
  • Completion of Warehouse Associate training program.

  • Frequent reaching with hands and arms; constant standing or sitting (varies by location).
  • Continuous standing for the duration of the shift at the Romeoville facility.
  • Frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 20 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
  • Overtime and weekends may be required.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $18.80 USD per hour. This position is also eligible for bonus pay.
