Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday; 5am-3:30pm (or until work is complete for the day). Sunday start time is 6am-4:30pm.

About the role

Operations are responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. This includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, as well as demand, supply, and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. The role also ensures the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products to a variety of internal and external customers.

The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops assists with Inbound or Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. This role handles receiving products in the Inbound section and shipping products in the Outbound section.

Responsibilities

  • Unloads trucks by using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to move pallets out of the trucks.
  • Uses Manhattan Warehouse Management System to check in products. If working with specialty products, follows regulations to store refrigerated products.
  • Stores products in warehouse locations using order picker or other devices.
  • Picks products from warehouse locations and loads them into outbound trucks.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience, preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift, and stand for the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfort working with heights of 20-30 ft regularly.
  • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) experience is preferred.

Pay

Anticipated hourly range: $20.50/hr. - $23.58/hr. (shift differential pay included).
