Responsibilities
- Transport incoming freight to inventory from staging areas for storage on multi-level racks in the assigned warehouse area.
- Replenish/re-stock pick slots in a timely manner to maintain efficient production flow.
- Locate proper slots on storage racks, set pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items, and enter product data and location into the system.
- Locate and perform count checks of incoming freight in the staging area and transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
- Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders.
- Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and remove outdated inventory according to company policy.
- Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
- Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to designated receptacles.
- Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack, and move them to the proper storage area using a pallet jack or forklift.
- Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
- Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Review work schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, obtain necessary supplies, and prepare for operations.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
- Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
- Work from receiving sheets, computer print-outs, established procedures, and verbal/written instructions.
- Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take appropriate action as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area as needed.
- Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, and complete vehicle inspection checklists.
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work with forklift experience.
- Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, and dry).
- Must be able to work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime.
- Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products from shelves at various heights, weighing between 10-35 pounds, and occasionally up to 60-90 pounds.
- Able to obtain certifications for powered equipment, such as forklift operation.
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
