Warehouse Associate/Driver

About the role

As a Warehouse Operator / Delivery Driver, you will keep our communities safe by ensuring customers receive the materials they need to provide clean water and heating/cooling.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively in a team within the warehouse to efficiently receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material to maintain inventory standards
• Verify all loads to ensure accurate customer deliveries
• Properly load and unload materials from the truck and maintain inventory control
• Operate the class of vehicle necessary for the assignment
• Drive in various conditions, including urban and construction settings
• Deliver high-quality customer service and professionalism

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license for the assigned vehicle class:
  • Class C – Anything 26,000 lbs or less combined gross weight
  • Class B – Box truck with a combined vehicle weight of 26,001 lbs or more
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 75 pounds or more
• Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and working indoors/outdoors as required

Skills and development

• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Forklift Certification

Physical and mental requirements

• Attendance: Ability to maintain scheduled days and hours, including onsite presence at the assigned location
• Physical Capacities: Lift up to 50 pounds frequently, sit and stand for extended periods, kneel, squat, climb, and walk
• Operation of Office Equipment: Use computers, copiers, and other office equipment; requires near vision, manual dexterity, and working near equipment
• Oral Communication Skills: Speaking, speech clarity, and speech recognition
• Written Communication Skills: Writing, reading, written comprehension, and written expression
