Overview

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for completing shipments by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area; driving trucks or vans to and from vendors; performing preventive maintenance on vehicles; arranging repairs; and collecting stock location orders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving dock operations by loading or unloading shipments.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or order-pickers safely, using full peripheral vision.
  • Place and/or pull stock from storage areas of the warehouse.
  • Ensure wheels of all trucks being unloaded are chocked before unloading begins.
  • Pick cases from bulk locations to fill forward pick locations.
  • Stock forward pick locations in the bottle room and the full case line in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Restock bottle and case returns from customer orders.
  • Pick VIA orders for salesmen and customers.
  • Store out-of-place product, 360 product, and 370 product as directed by the supervisor.
  • Sort pallets by size.
  • Handle broken cases, including re-boxing good bottles and disposing of broken ones.
  • Leave equipment in good working order and free of trash for the next shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of an assigned area of the warehouse.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and wear all company-issued safety equipment.
  • Report any damage to equipment or the building to a supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and battery change stations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Demands

  • Considerable time spent walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
  • Frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds.
  • Regularly sit and operate machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and battery change stations.
  • Work may involve repetitive motions, varying heights, and exposure to warehouse environmental conditions.
  • Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak-season schedules may be required.
