Warehouse Associate/ CDL-A Backup Driver

About the Role

This is a warehouse-first position where most of the workweek is spent performing warehouse duties. The employee will also serve as a backup CDL-A driver when needed to cover vacations, driver absences, hotshot deliveries, and branch-to-branch transfers. Driving responsibilities are occasional and operationally driven.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties

• Receive inbound shipments.
• Verify incoming products and scan them into inventory.
• Load and unload materials.
• Organize and stock inventory.
• Assist with order fulfillment.
• Conduct inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.

Backup Driving Duties

• Cover routes during driver vacations and absences.
• Perform hotshot deliveries and branch transfers.
• Operate automatic transmission dry van equipment.
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections and DOT paperwork.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Prior warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Pallet jack experience.
• Experience operating dry van equipment.

Pay

$28.00–$30.00 per hour
