About the Role

Reporting to the Supervisor or Location Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products to maintain overall warehouse efficiency. Daily tasks may vary by location but focus on ensuring all stock is accounted for, processed, and organized to meet company standards. Associates may also assist with counter sales or deliveries as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse activities including receipt, inventory placement, order selection, and shipment of stock
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and promptly
  • Receive and restock inventory in designated storage areas
  • Load and unload trucks following established procedures
  • Back-up delivery drivers if qualified
  • Assist with counter sales
  • Operate forklifts, hand trucks, or other warehouse equipment
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and accurately identify inventory
  • Maintain quality and quantity performance standards
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintain warehouse cleanliness
  • Check equipment for proper operation and report issues to supervision
  • Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures
  • Participate in safety initiatives and attend meetings/training sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • If required to drive: valid Driver’s License with clean driving record, ability to pass a DOT Medical Exam and obtain a 1-Year Card (paid for by The Kendall Group)
  • Ability to use standard office equipment (e.g., bar code scanners, printers) and warehouse tools
  • Basic math and reasoning skills
  • Excellent work ethic, verbal communication, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment under supervision
  • Ability to lift/move/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours a day, climb stairs, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel
  • Exposure to warehouse temperature conditions and noise levels typical of a distribution center

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience picking orders with an RF scanner
  • Forklift certification
