Warehouse Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate with 1–3 years of experience to join our Syracuse branch. We value high performers who are forward-looking, innovative, enthusiastic, and ambitious team players. Responsibilities

• Inspect product deliveries for damages and verify product matches internal Purchase Order specifications.
• Ensure accuracy of quantities delivered and reconcile discrepancies with shipments and Purchase Orders, taking corrective action as needed.
• Safely store product to prevent internal damage and properly locate it for order pulls, physical counts, and inventory control.
• Pull customer orders, ensuring accuracy aligns with customer specifications.
• Load product onto trucks while safeguarding it from potential transit damage.
• Review and analyze inventory levels to maintain compliance with established stocking min/max requirements.
• Maintain working knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
• Enforce warehouse receiving policies with suppliers.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, order selection, packing, and/or stocking of products.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Willing and able to operate material handling equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues simultaneously without stress.
• Flexibility with schedule; overtime is frequent for A and B shifts (C shift rarely requires overtime).
• Must have reliable daily transportation to the branch location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift training (preferred but not required; internal training provided).
• Product knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical materials (highly desired).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role operates in a high-traffic warehouse exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift 50–75 pounds. While standard hours are scheduled, flexibility is required to ensure all orders and job duties are completed by the end of the shift.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Pay

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour.
