Warehouse Associate

Responsibilities

• The warehouse associate is responsible for receiving, labeling, and storing incoming shipments, assessing stock for damages, keeping a concise record of inventory, and accurately filling customer orders.

• The warehouse associate is responsible for virtually of all day-to-day tasks that keep the warehouse running efficiently.
• Pick orders for shipment.
• Record exact arrival and departure times for shipments.
• Operate stock management tools: for example, powered industrial equipment and pallet jacks.
• Count stock and keep inventory records.
• Routine cleaning duties.
• Interface with management to ensure key objectives are realized.
• Maintain safety regulations and comply with all applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
• Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach.
• Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/ or stairs) or balance.
• May be subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. May be required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
• Attention to detail.
• Great communication skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Must be able to work well with other staff members and supervisors.
• Must have an open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and over time.
• 1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred.
• Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
