Warehouse Associate

Overview

The Warehouse Associate role at Aaron’s involves unloading trucks, sorting and stocking products, picking and staging product for shipping, labeling and serializing product, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. No forklift experience is required.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of Aarons inventory on and off trucks
• Product sorting and stocking as directed by management and/or supervisor
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, sweeping, dusting, and mopping
• Picking and staging product for shipping as directed and in accordance with generated reports
• Operating RF scanners as necessary and as directed by management and/or supervisors
• Labeling and serialization of product
• Knowledge of and maintaining compliance with Aarons Safety Rules – Training is provided
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Operate equipment only with Aarons provided PIT training completion and certification

Required Education, Experience, And Certifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus.

Required Skills And Competencies

• Previous OSHA or employee certification for powered industrial truck operation
• Experience with counterbalance forklift with carton clamp attachment and order picker
• Good communication skills
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Good mathematical skills
• Ability to learn and use various computer applications (software)
• Ability to work within a team structure in order to meet departmental goals/standards
• Willingness to adapt and respond to the unexpected
• Dependable and reliable
• Flexible, willing to work any schedule, including weekends and holidays, in all types of weather

Physical Requirements

• Constantly: Bending/Stooping, Climbing, Lifting (up to 40 lbs independently and greater than 40 lbs with assistance), Pushing/Pulling, Sitting, Standing, Walking
