Warehouse Associate

About the role

This role involves completing shipments by processing and loading orders, supporting all day-to-day warehouse duties, and operating warehouse equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Moves, stocks, receives, and packs outbound warehouse merchandise.
• Maintains and performs inventory level maintenance and counts.
• Operates warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks.
• Follows warehouse safety regulations.
• Completes daily warehouse tasks including shipping, receiving, packaging, pulling, inventory, and warehouse organizational tasks.
• Unloads shipments from suppliers, verifying order accuracy.
• Troubleshoots and is flexible to jump between tasks based on order demands.
• Prepares product for manufacturing and distribution.
• Inspects product for defects and verifies correct counts.
• Performs in-process checks and inventory adjustments.
• Loads and receives merchandise, building orders and merchandise organization.
• Interprets production schedule and ensures proper materials are in inventory and ready for use.
• Ensures and maintains appropriate packaging inventory for products.
• Works independently and as part of a team, following instructions and completing tasks assigned by Supervisor/Lead Operator.
• Occasionally uses Warehouse management or ERP systems.
• Affords assistance to other employees in accomplishing company goals.
• Completes company-required training programs.
• Maintains all quality standards in performing assigned tasks.
• Participates in Environmental, Health, Safety and OSHA initiatives as set forth by the company.
• Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3+ years of warehousing experience.
• Must be able to drive forklift and organize materials.
• Licensed stand up and sit-down forklift experience is a plus.
• Full-time role at $18.00/hour.
• Over 21 years of age.
• Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
• Able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time.
• Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
• Able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
• Able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.
• Able to complete repeated twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting activities throughout shift and for prolonged periods of time.

Skills

• Punctual, stable, reliable, able to follow instructions, and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP system).
• Keyboarding skills preferred.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses a working knowledge of subject matter.
• Able to work in a high pace environment.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 2-3+ years of warehousing experience.
• Full-time role at $18.00/hour.
• Over 21 years of age.
