Warehouse Associate

About the role

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage-free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or manually, handling items up to 100 lbs.
• Operate in varied weather conditions and noisy environments.
• Read and comprehend job-related documents in English.
• Maintain compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations through regular inspections and safe driving practices.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate forklifts/Moffett equipment safely.
• Effective communication in English.
• Minimum age 18 (21 for interstate/hazmat operations).
• Pass background check, drug test, and E-Verify; verification via FMCSA Clearinghouse required.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• FMCSA registration.

Preferred qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Multilingual abilities to enhance customer communication.
• Forklift certification.

Certifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL B) with Air Brakes Endorsement
• Current DOT Medical Certificate – Required
• Forklift Certification – Preferred
• FMCSA Registration – Required

Working conditions

CDL Drivers manage long hours, fast-paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200-mile radius—no overnight stays. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on-site coordination, and occasional yard support.
