Warehouse Associate

About the role

Sprout is a global IT hardware retirement provider for hyperscaler and enterprise clients. We leverage a nationwide footprint (and international partner network) combined with proprietary software to enable efficient end-to-end IT asset disposition with a focus on data-bearing devices from the client to the cloud. ITAD Operators are responsible for the identification, sorting, reconciliation, and de-manufacturing of IT assets in alignment with Sprout’s operational and environmental standards. With increasing responsibilities and technical proficiency, ITAD Operators advance through Levels 1 to 4 based on experience and demonstrated skills.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and categorize IT assets and consumer electronics.
• Safely transport materials across the site.
• Keep workstations and stock areas organized.
• Disassemble IT assets into constituent parts for recycling or disposal.
• Follow all safety protocols and data security procedures (R2v3, ISO 27001).
• Master operational processing activities: Audit, De-Manufacturing, & Clean / Pack.
• Document all actions and materials accurately using scan guns and manual entries in ERP system, creating labels as needed.
• Perform advanced stock organization and material recovery tasks.

Requirements

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding the English language.
• Ability to accurately type 40 words per minute.
• Proficient in basic arithmetic.
• Experience with hand tools (power drill, pliers, etc.).
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, when needed.
• Adaptability to changing tasks and expectations.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in ITAD or reverse logistics.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, inventory management, and advanced handling techniques.
• Demonstrated skill in process improvement and quality control.
