Warehouse Associate
About the role
Slifco Electric is a premier electrical contracting firm serving the Automotive, Heavy Industrial, and Mission Critical sectors. We specialize in both ground-up construction and major renovations, managing electrical packages ranging from small service work to multi-million-dollar installations. We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and general facility upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Pull orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle shipping and receiving of materials and equipment
- Utilize hi-lo and/or forklift as appropriate for heavy loads
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Perform general warehouse duties and clean-up as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Execute all job responsibilities in a safe manner at all times
- Report any unsafe conditions in the shop, on the road, or at job sites immediately
- Wear appropriate work attire (jeans or work pants and work boots)
- Use company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
Requirements
We are looking for a reliable, dependable, and punctual work ethic. A strong commitment to safety and following procedures is also important. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and be a team player willing to help wherever needed. Basic understanding of warehouse operations (shipping, receiving, material handling preferred) is beneficial, but not required. Attention to detail and accuracy when pulling and handling orders is key. A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company are also important qualities.
