Warehouse Associate

About the role

Singer Kittredge Equipment Company, part of the largest foodservice equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic and New England region, is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join the warehouse team at our Tonawanda, NY branch.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble equipment
• Scan paperwork into shared drive
• Communicate daily with the contract department
• Move, stock, receive, and pack outbound warehouse merchandise
• Follow warehouse safety regulations
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and conducting inventory counts
• Operate warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks
• Perform work under general supervision
• Handle moderately complex issues and problems; refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate strong time management and communication skills
• Perform basic mechanical actions such as using hand tools, power tools, and climbing ladders

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience working in a warehouse
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push up to 100 lbs
• Clean driving record; must obtain a valid license and pass a DOT Medical and Physical Examination
• Mechanically inclined mindset
• Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision

Schedule

Varied work schedule to fulfill delivery of products to customers, primarily dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings.
