Warehouse Associate

About the role

Royal Brass and Hose, an employee-owned distributor of high-quality mobile equipment products since 1949, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform general warehouse duties. As an ESOP company since 2018, we empower customer success through solutions, expertise, and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Pull customer orders, warehouse stock orders, and various kits; complete discrepancy sheets.
• Pack boxes, prepare shipping labels, and handle shipping documents for UPS, FedEx, and motor freight.
• Receive and verify shipments from vendors; put stock in appropriate locations.
• Perform quality control through visual inspection to verify order accuracy before shipping.
• Dispatch orders, ensuring correct quantity, freight costs, tracking numbers, and package weight.
• Conduct inventory control, cycle counting, measuring, and recording as part of a team.
• Assemble and crimp hoses and fittings in small and large quantities for customer orders.
• Package various components to customer specifications (kitting).
• Assist customers at the front counter, including identifying correct replacements and fabricating hoses, fittings, and other components.
• Participate in year-end inventory counting, measuring, and recording as part of a team.
• Perform housekeeping, preventative maintenance on equipment, and participate in team meetings for continuous improvement.
• Post performance metrics, organize celebrations, and attend training meetings or classes.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Warehouse work experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Certified forklift driver a plus.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and team spirit.
• Able to work alone and self-motivated.
• Good math skills and basic keyboard knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and drug-free.

Working Conditions

Minimal climate-controlled environment.

Physical Requirements

• Lift 70 lbs below waist and 50 lbs above waist.
• Push and pull with 100 lbs of force.
• Occasional overhead reach, stooping, and working bent over.
• Occasional climbing (stairs, ladders, equipment step-ups).
• Constant standing and repetitive hand movements (stapling, using tape gun, grabbing bags, typing).
