Job Purpose
Royal Brass and Hose distributes high-quality mobile equipment products like hydraulic and pneumatic parts, hoses, fittings, fasteners, adapters, and more. The warehouse associate's responsibilities include order pulling, shipping, receiving, quality control, dispatch, inventory/cycle counting, kitting, front counter support, and customer delivery.
Essential Job Functions
- Order puller: Pulling customer orders, warehouse stock orders, various kits, completing discrepancy sheets.
- Shipping: Packing boxes, shipping labels, and documents for UPS, FedEx, and motor freight.
- Receiving: Receiving and verifying shipments from vendors via UPS, FedEx, and motor freight. Putting stock in appropriate locations.
- Quality Control: Through visual inspection, verifying accuracy of every order before shipping.
- Dispatch: Dispatching orders, including correct quantity, freight costs, tracking numbers, and package weights.
- Inventory/Control/Cycle Counting: Counting, measuring, recording as a team with other warehouse associates.
- Hose Assembly: Assembling and crimping hose and fittings in small and large quantities for customer orders.
- Kitting: Packaging various components to customer specifications.
- Front Counter: Receiving customer inquiries at the front counter, identifying correct replacements, and possibly fabricating hose, fittings, and other components.
- Customer Delivery: Providing general support to customers after hours and weekends as necessary within a scheduled rotation.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and safely.
- Warehouse work experience a plus.
- Certified Forklift Driver a plus.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long periods.
- Great team spirit.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work alone and self-motivated.
- Good math skills.
- Basic keyboard knowledge.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Drug-free.
