Warehouse Associate

About the role

Sterling Personnel, Inc is looking for warehouse associates in the 78216 zip code area of San Antonio. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Be part of a team, because we have a "team-first" attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate counts of inventory as it comes in and goes out
• Rotate stock and properly handle any damaged materials
• Organize and store inventory in an orderly and accessible manner
• Assist in picking, packing, and labeling orders for shipment
• Prepare and organize materials for internal use or customer orders
• Perform regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, shipping and receiving department, or similar environment
• Able to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly each day
• Driving a forklift in this type of setting is a plus or we will help you get certified
• Must have basic math skills for inventory counts; and English verbal and written skills to be able to read purchase orders and communicate with team members
• Be reliable, safe and a team player
• Have a valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation to and from work
• Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship for any length of time
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management
• Forklift experience or certified
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

Schedule

Mon-Fri 8a-5pm with the opportunity for overtime on weekends during the busy season.
