Warehouse Associate
Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm. Daily overtime may be required as needed; weekends may be needed. Wage increases after successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
About the role
This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand-building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Works from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Position ensures accuracy in loading and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation, following warehouse instructions. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. Position may require working across a variety of weather conditions and hours, with shift duration varying daily.
Responsibilities
- Transport truck loading: Move full pallets of products from the warehouse onto a trailer and remove any returned pallets/plastic flats. Unload raw materials and place them in designated warehouse space.
- Bulk truck loading: Select designated packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and load them onto a pallet. Maintain pallet stability through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. Load pallets onto trailers for local delivery. Unload returned products and pallets/plastic flats.
- Route truck loading: Select designated packages, flavors, or pallets of products from the warehouse and load them into the truck based on customized salesperson orders. Unload returned products and pallets/plastic flats.
- Drive power pallet jack or forklift to picking area and build pallet/load according to load sheet or voice pick audio equipment (if applicable).
- Mark load ticket for out-of-stock items.
- Wrap pallet when finished and turn in paperwork with order for check before loading; have truck checked.
- Stage pallet and/or load into truck when ready.
- Complete partial pallets and put away mixed pallets.
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards in work area.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Position requires lifting a high volume of cases (20-45 pounds per case) repeatedly during long work periods. Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping as product is moved.
Requirements
- 18 years or older.
Helpful Experience
- Working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts).
- Driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product).
- Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically).
- Experience working in a team environment (e.g., cooperating with co-workers, joint problem solving).
Pay
$22.50 per hour.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Daily overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.
